Real World Prevention - RWP

We understand that we can’t save every female in the world but we want to equip as many as possible to easily defend themselves.  One of the ways is to understand how the body works.  For example, a young girl at the age of 11 weighing 80 lbs. can knock over a man of 230 lbs.  Anyone can accomplish this with proper understanding of the body, including where to place our hands and how to push or strike.  The true method of fighting is how to fight without actually fighting which comes from movement and deflection.  When someone is attacking, you need to turn to the side to increase your speed and power.  Turning to your side also makes their target smaller.  When encountering someone larger, you need to attack from the side.  An attacker will use muscle to over-power you.  In his mindset, his muscle will win.

Our concept in R.W.P. is to educate a person how to defend themselves against various types of opponents.  We also prepare an individual for diverse movements from an attacker.  You will have a different target every time but we are here to train you to be one step ahead.  We begin with the five elements of defending ourselves in an attack:

  1. Breathe
  2. Move
  3. Block
  4. Counter
  5. Attack

We will include instruction on various targets to aim for as well as the ones not to hit.  When defending yourself, concentrate on weak points such as eyes, throat, and groin.  When you are countering, you want to wound them and concentrate on the wounds.  Unfortunately, an attacker doesn’t fight fair so you need to do whatever is necessary to get away.  Remember, fight or flight.  We put our techniques together on the idea that less is better.  There is a fine line when it comes to the legal aspect of how far or how much you can do to protect yourself.  Just remember, less is legal in a court of law.  Our goal is to escape.  In most cases that requires you to defend against your attacker in order to flee.
